Since 1968, Essie's South American Sauce has been a gluten-free marinade that has been passed down through generations of our family. Originally created for our "South American Steak" at the Seven Seas Restaurant, it quickly became a customer favorite. People would even bring their own containers to take some home. In 1986, Esther Davis, or "Essie," began bottling her recipe and selling it in local grocery stores. Today, Essie's South American Sauce is available in Original and Chipotle flavors in a 13.28-ounce size at many grocery stores. We also offer 5-gallon containers for distribution to meat markets, grocery stores, and restaurants. Essie's has become a beloved family brand for generations of fans and continues to be produced and sold in stores and on Amazon as well.
